About Calligraphy Hong
THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME
The name “Calligraphy Hong” is inspired by the Chinese idiom jing hong yi pie, a fleeting glimpse of something beautiful, and by the character “Hong” in founder Shiuan-Hong Lee’s name. The original character meaning “glimpse” is replaced with a calligraphic “stroke,” expressing the hope that beautiful written art may pass through a viewer’s social feed in an instant, yet leave a lasting impression.
